Blagger travis is a high-vis fan at second concert

THIS young man chanced his way to the front of an Ed Sheeran concert for free – by posing as a steward.

Travis Harrison, from Mayo, went to Saturday’s concert in Galway and assessed the security set up at Pearse Stadium.

The 18-year-old Leaving Cert student told the Irish Mirror he arrived the following afternoon and got into the singer’s second Galway gig wearing a hi-vis vest.

The Wesport man got a shop to print the security company’s name on the back of a vest, as well as printing off a “staff’ wristband.

He said: “I paid for a ticket on the Saturday and went as a normal fan.

“But with me being a huge Ed Sheeran fan, I decided why not try and get in as a steward on Sunday.

“I got my hi-vis from my friend, I then had to scout around the stadium to see what the layout was.

“I got the logo and the rest of the writing on and printed it onto the back of the hi-vis.

“I then had to see what extras the staff had, I noticed they had staff wristbands which were gold.

“I had to use my friend’s printer who didn’t have a coloured printer to print one off in black and white.”

Travis, who now lives near the Galway stadium, added: “I thought I’ll get the Saturday ticket then Sunday I’ll try this idea as I’m so close to the venue.”
