Barbara & Jake BARBARA Windsor has “good days and bad days” living with Alzheimer’s, a former co-star said.

Jake Wood, who stars as Max Branning in BBC One soap Eastenders, said she has her “ups and downs”.

Barbara’s husband Scott Mitchell, 55, revealed last week his wife, 80, Peggy Mitchell in the show, had the disease.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Jake said: “Scott is incredible, they’re an incredible couple.

“Someone told me donations to the Alzheimer’s Society have rocketed.

“They had the diagnosis in 2014. They’ve worked incredibly hard to keep it as private as they can.”

But Scott said: “We still laugh a lot. She loves going out – she comes alive.”

With Luna, Isla and pet dog Minnie CHRISTINE Lampard is pregnant with her first child with ex-england footballer husband Frank.

The pair, who met at the Mirror’s Pride of Britain awards in 2009, went public with the news yesterday. They first publicly discussed trying for a baby after Chelsea star Frank retired from football at the start of 2017.

Taking to social media to announce the news, Frank, 39, wrote: “We have some exciting news we wanted to share with you. The Lampard family is growing!

“My gorgeous wife Christine Lampard is pregnant and we all couldn’t be happier!”

TV host Christine, also 39, then added in her own post: “I feel SO excited, nervous and grateful! The list of emotions is endless.”

The pair posted the messages alongside a photo of them grinning with Frank’s daughters Luna, 12, and Isla, 10, from a relationship with Elen Rivas, and their dog Minnie.

A source said: “Frank and Christine wanted to make sure the girls were happy and understood what was happening so they sat down and told Luna and Isla on Monday, but told them they don’t know the sex.

“The girls loved the news and were excitedly coming up with names and having fun trying to guess what it would be.”

Christine, who appears on ITV’S Loose Women and fronts Lorraine when the main host is on holiday, previously said she dotes on her two stepdaughters and would love to have a baby to add to their little family.

She told the Mirror this year: “If it happens, it will be wonderful. If not we have the girls. We just enjoy life as best we can in between.”

The baby is due this autumn, around three years after they married in December 2015.
