There’s MO where that came from

SALAH DEAL WILL MAKE KEY MEN STAY AND ENTICE MORE SUPERSTARS TO ANFIELD SAYS KLOPP

MO SALAH has committed his future to Liverpool by signing a new £50million contract.

Salah, who scored 32 Premier League goals last season, sees his salary soar to more than £200,000 a week as Liverpool moved to make sure he did not follow Philippe Coutinho out of the Anfield exit door amid interest from Real Madrid.

The Egyptian joins Roberto Firmino and rising star Rhian Brewster in agreeing five-year deals, and Sadio Mane (below) is also likely to extend his contract.

Virgil van Dijk and new signings Fabinho and Naby Keita are also on five-year deals, while Trent Alexanderarnold, Alex Oxladechamberlain, Ben Woodburn, Joe Gomez and Dominic Solanke have four years on their contracts.

And manager Jurgen Klopp believes having the core of his squad committed to longterm deals sends a huge statement of intent.

Klopp said of the deal with Salah (left): “It demonstrates two things very clearly – his belief in Liverpool and our belief in him. We want worldclass talent to see they have a home at Anfield where they can fulfil all their professional dreams and ambitions.

“When someone like Mo Salah commits and says ‘this place is my home now,’ it speaks very loudly. Equally, our commitment to him says we see his value.” After signing the new contract, Salah sent a message to Liverpool fans, telling them that there is even more to come next season. “My first year at the club was an incredible experience for me and my family,” he said.

“I have to thank everyone at Liverpool and also our supporters. I know we can achieve things together. I’m very happy to say I have signed a new contract.”
