Marlay Park gigs set for hot reception
Melvin Benn MUSIC fans have been given a weather warning ahead of the Marlay Park concerts which kick off this weekend.
Thousands will descend on South Dublin to attend gigs by Queen and Bruno Mars before the Longitude Festival starts on July 13.
Festival Republic boss Melvin Benn yesterday warned concert-goers to prepare for hot weather.
At a press conference in Dublin, he said: “One would hope that as it has been around for a good part of June people will be more accustomed to the requirements of looking after themselves.
“Dehydration is a significant thing. The audiences do look after each other.”
He added extra water taps would be provided.
