University opens new €11m wing

A UNIVERSITY opened an €11million wing yesterday that will cater for up to 1,400 students.

Dublin City University opened the facility of the Stokes Engineering and Research Building.

Speaking at the event yesterday, Minister Mary Mitchell O’connor said: “This is a demonstration of the university’s strong commitment to creating a vibrant and dynamic environment for research and innovation.

“The opening of the facility is also crucially important to cater for an expanding student population at DCU, one of the country’s fastest growing universities.”
