Lisa’s best pal: It’s all your fault, Ant
TV star blasted for ‘not taking responsibility’
LISA Armstrong’s best friend has blasted Ant Mcpartlin for his “appalling behaviour”.
Craig Robert Young, who was in the 90s band Deuce alongside Lisa, posted a series of tweets criticising her estranged husband and urging him to “go back to rehab”.
Craig shared an online link to a scathing article which claimed that “Ant Mcpartlin’s not a victim... he’s just rather unpleasant”.
In now-deleted tweets, he said: “I couldn’t agree more. He may have issues, but, ultimately, he is responsible for his appalling behaviour. I do believe drugs and alcohol addiction is an illness, but it’s not an excuse for such utter disregard for good humans.
“Go back to rehab, lose the enablers, the cheaters and a***lickers. Take responsibility for your actions. Once you have done the work... in a few years, you might come to realise the pain you have caused and the irreparable wounds that can’t heal and you will no doubt be full of remorse. But something tells me it might be too late. #sorrynotsorry.”
Craig has been supporting his 42-year-old friend since her 11-year marriage ended in January.
The make-up artist jetted off to LA to spend time with him following the news that her ex had moved on with her and Ant’s former personal assistant Anne-marie Corbett, 42.
They shared snaps of themselves on hikes in the Hollywood Hills as well as getting tattoos together.
Ant, 41, went to rehab in 2017, after being addicted to prescription drugs following knee surgery in 2015.
He returned to rehab in March after a three-car collision when drunk at the wheel. He pleaded guilty to drink-driving in April and received a 20-month ban and an €95,000 fine.
He is taking an extended break from TV work and left his on-screen partner Declan Donnelly to host the end of the last series of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, as well as Britain’s Got Talent live shows solo.
