Click & Collect gives people the option of ordering their medication in advance before getting it in one of Hickey’s 37 stores nationwide.

A spokesman said: “Our new app ensures no matter how hectic your lifestyle, the service you need is always only a few clicks away.”

The service also offers repeat customers an express two-hour delivery service at 20 stores.

■ The Hickey’s Pharmacy App is available at the App Store and Google Play. HEAVY rains and flooding are set to swamp parts of Ireland tomorrow, Met Eireann has warned.

Showers are expected across the country today with winds becoming stronger before settling down later in the week.

But homes and businesses in the capital are being warned spot flooding could hit them tomorrow as severe showers strike.

Met Eireann forecaster Harm Luijkx said: “We have an unsettled week ahead of us. For Wednesday, it looks like the East will be getting heavy rain, and spot flooding is quite likely in Dublin and other parts of Leinster.

“We’re not exactly sure which part of the east coast will be the worst affected, as the weather system is still too far away but certainly many parts of Leinster will be affected.”

Although spot flooding is not expected outside of Leinster, the rest of the country is due to get persistent mist and rain.

Despite the wind and showers, warmer temperatures will spread across Ireland today with highs reaching 13C to 14C. But

Flooded Dublin road cooler temperatures will return later in the week, slumping to 8C to 10C.

A bit of respite from the rain is expected on Thursday, as conditions become slightly drier and more settled for the day and into the earlier part of Friday.

But winds are also expected to pick again on Friday, as cooler temperatures continue.

Mr Luijkx said: “Thursday is expected to be drier with only scattered showers.

“Then Friday might start off dry but then later in the day more rain is expected, coming from the south or south west.”

But despite the potential for spot flooding, the Met Eireann forecaster insisted the extreme weather Ireland has seen over the past few months is not expected this week – nor is there any need as yet to put weather warnings in place.

He added: “The weather will be unsettled enough this week, but it doesn’t look like there’s any extreme weather on the charts.

“There are no real need for warnings at the moment. There might be a need later on for some yellow rainfall warnings, but not for now.”
