Emmerdale’s Daz set for trial
EMMERDALE star Mark Jordon was told yesterday he must face trial for allegedly biting a pensioner after a row in a pub.
Jordon, 53, who plays Daz Spencer in the ITV soap, appeared briefly before magistrates charged with GBH.
His solicitor Rebecca Clarke said he intended to plead not guilty and the case was referred to crown court.
Andy Potts, 68, is said to have been bitten on his arm, hand and eyebrow in Oldham, Gtr Manchester, last July.
Father of two Jordon arrived at court in Ashton-under-lyne with girlfriend and Emmerdale co-star Laura Norton, 35. Mr Potts was also at the hearing.
Jordon, who has had roles in Heartbeat and Corrie, spoke only to confirm his details and was given bail to appear at Manchester’s Minshull Street crown court on December 6.
