Pell says Rice will get better

WEST Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is predicting big things for Declan Rice.

The 19-year-old may be torn between committing his international future to Ireland or England.

But it has not impacted his club performances in a season that has seen him cement his place at the base of the Hammers midfield.

Pellegrini has shown a lot of faith in a player who has come through the West Ham system and believes he could reach the summit of the game.

“I think that Declan has a lot of potential to arrive at that level that he wants,” the West Ham boss said.

“After that, you must see the development of his career, he is learning very fast, I think that he improves his performance in every game.

“So, I hope he will be a top player for some years more.

“e is a very intelligent player but yes, he has a lot of potential.”
