Remembering their sacrifice
JOHN Condon is said to be the youngest Allied soldier killed in action during World War One.
The 13-year-old was one of the 49,500 Irishmen who lost their lives on the battlefield.
As we mark a century since the end of the conflict, it’s important to note left as much a mark here, as it did to every country which took part.
John Condon can rest in peace knowing that he is as much of a hero as any of the brave men lying alongside him in that foreign field.
Tomorrow, we should all take a minute to remember the sacrifices that he, and millions like him, made.
