Choc a lot as cocoa up 7%
Prices are up CHOCOLATE treats could become more expensive in the run-up to Christmas after cocoa prices soared.
The commodity rose 6.9% on the world market last month after the Ivory Coast and Ghana, which produce 60% of it, agreed to align pricing so farmers could have a living wage.
It came as demand for chocolate rocketed, said trade title The Grocer, with fears the increase could be passed on to consumers.
