A WOMAN caused her boyfriend’s ex-lover to attempt suicide after posting revenge porn pictures of her.

Rachel Dale, 28, found the snaps on Alex Montgomery’s phone and shared them with her 2,000 followers on website Instagram.

She then warned his former girlfriend: “They will be all over the internet tomorrow.”

Dale later deleted the graphic pictures but they had already been circulated on social media. Prosecutor Ashley Seetal told a court the victim “did attempt to take her own life” and added: “She was taken to hospital and received treatment. There is evidence of serious distress and significant psychological harm.” The photos had been sent to 28-year-old Alex’s phone by his unnamed ex before he met Dale, but he never ditched them. Dale, of Stalybridge, Gtr Manchester, admitted disclosing a private sexual photograph with intent to cause distress when she appeared before Tameside magistrates.

A probation report said Dale “accepts full responsibility for committing the offence and doesn’t try to minimise the seriousness of the impact”.

The internet clothing firm boss was sentenced to 12 weeks’ jail suspended for a year and ordered to pay €220 in costs and surcharges.
