€885k boost for free Wifi

MINISTER Sean Canney has welcomed European funding of €885,000 for 21 local authorities.

The cash boost comes under the WIFI4EU initiative to support free public internet hotspots throughout the country.

Mr Canney said: “This is a fantastic result for Ireland.”
