Burton blasts vulture fund tax loopholes
TAX loopholes being made for greedy vulture funds have been branded a disgrace by the Labour Party.
Finance spokesperson Joan Burton was speaking in response to revelations showing Minister Pascal Donohoe’s failure as majority shareholder of Permanent TSB.
This means more than 6,000 distressed mortgages are being sold and it looks likely a tax loophole has been created so they will not pay the levies that would be normally due.
Ms Burton said: “This is yet another example of the public losing out to banks, developers and vulture funds.
“This sell-off is the legal and moral responsibility of Minister Pascal Donohoe.”
