FF blasts lack of insurance regulation
LACK of regulation across the EU is leaving Irish insurance holders in danger, Fianna Fail warns.
Party spokesman on finance Michael Mcgrath has raised concerns about the exposure of consumers as a result of regulatory failures in other member states.
He said: “I have written to the Chairperson of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority to outline the detrimental impact these are having on Irish consumers.
“This is an issue the Irish government and the Central Bank also need to be pressing at an EU level.”
