MONK CAN’T OFFER MOR

Championship: 3pm BIRMINGHAM boss Garry Monk faces losing out of contract skipper Michael Morrison.

Monk is unable to offer Morrison a new deal after Brum were hit with a transfer embargo in the summer.

They are also under an

EFL imposed business plan.

Blues are in danger of a points deduction at a independent disciplinary commission in February for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

Morrison (left) has helped Monk’s men to back-to-back wins with clean sheets.

But Monk admitted: “I’ve spoken to players like Michael, not being able to do those sorts of things is not ideal to secure those players’ futures.

“These are the difficulties for myself.

“We have no other choice, so we just continue.”
