DANCING With The Stars spin-off presenter Blathnaid Treacy says she would love to host the main show.
But she insists new presenter Jennifer Zamparelli – who is replacing Amanda Byram – is right for the job because she has years more experience.
Blonde Blathnaid, 30, returns tonight with the third season of preview series Can’t Stop Dancing.
She said: “Eventually I would love to be hosting a show like Dancing With The Stars but, who knows, they might bring in a new format in a few years’ time.
“It would be amazing to be the leading presenter on the biggest TV show in the country one day.
“But Jen has about 10 years’ experience on top of me so she’s absolutely the perfect person for the role.
“She’s totally different to Amanda so it will be so interesting to see what Jen does.
“I know she will do her own thing because she is so funny and so glam as well.
“We are going to see a whole other side to her too because part

of the role is kind of being their shoulder to cry on almost, so I’d say we will probably see more of a mammy side of Jen.”
The Bray star cut her teeth on RTE but had been presenting Virgin Media’s Xpose until last week while Karen Koster and Glenda Gilson were on maternity leave. Blathnaid said: “I did Expose for the past three months and my bosses in RTE said, ‘Go for it, but come back over to RTE in January and focus on Dancing With The Stars’ because it is such a huge show.”
