Demo call for cycle lanes

-

COMMUTERS staged a rally last night to call for safe, usable cycle lanes.

The demo at Cork City Hall was organised to highlight problems such as vehicles stopping or parking in the routes.

Spokesman Dr Dean Venables said: “Safe and usable cycle lanes would encourage more people.

“Higher rates of cycling would cut traffic congestion, air pollution and parking demand and contribute to a more livable and attractive city.”
