Sile reveals heartbreak over ‘missed’ miscarriage
Presenter Seoige SILE Seoige has revealed her heartbreak after suffering a miscarriage in November.
The popular broadcaster took to Instagram to share the sad news with her followers yesterday afternoon.
The 39-year-old said: “A number of months ago I found out I was pregnant and we were absolutely over the moon.
“It was great but wasn’t meant to be.”
Sile had suffered what is called a “missed miscarriage”, which meant she didn’t have any of the physical symptoms.
She had to have a dilation and curettage procedure to clear her uterus at the Coombe Hospital in Dublin.
The presenter explained: “You don’t just get over it.
“You have to give your body time and not just your physical form but your thoughts and emotions as well.”
Sile said she wanted to share her story because she’s “a big believer in being honest” and wanted to help people by talking about it.
She added: “If it helps one or two people out there, I think it’s a good thing.
“And I actually feel that talking about it, it’s helping me a huge amount.”
