Rocket calls for leniency on walk-out
RONNIE O’SULLIVAN has urged snooker bosses to go easy on Mark Allen for his World GP walk-out.
Allen conceded to Ali Carter even though there were 11 reds and 115 points still on the table.
The Rocket, hit with a £20,800 fine after quitting his UK Championship quarter-final against Stephen Hendry in 2006 when 4-1 down in a best-of-17 frame match, said: “I hope they don’t hit him too hard because it was just a rush of blood. Mark has been one of the players of the season so far.”
