Morgan free man in Hyde

STEPHEN CLUXTON and Rory Beggan now have company from Niall Morgan at the top table of elite goalkeepers. I witnessed first hand his heroic and, at times, astonishing display in Roscommon.

He displayed remarkable leadership, stunning skill and endless bravery – with a bit of cuteness thrown in on top. Morgan (left) drove Tyrone from the back time and time again as all seemed lost.

On the 46th minute he scored a free over from 60 yards. In the 64th minute, he hit another from 55 yards. But his equalising point from play from over 50 yards is one of the scores of the year already – a moment of magic from a player who has improved beyond recognition.
