Liverpool ace gives €12k to Sean Cox fund
Jamie Carragher JAMIE Carragher has donated more than €12,000 to Sean Cox’s rehabilitation trust after taking part in a fundraising night in aid of the Liverpool fan.
The former defender’s 23 Foundation and BOSS Night teamed up to put on the special event for the Meath man last Saturday.
A 500-strong crowd helped raise €12,520, which Carragher has doubled out of his own pocket.
The Kop legend said: “It was a great night, but the important thing is we are doing all we can to help Sean Cox and his family.”
The father-of-three, from Dunboyne, was left in a coma last April after being attacked by a group of Roma fans prior to a Champions League semifinal outside Anfield.
