KINAHAN‘GANGSTER’IN COURT OVER WEAPON ‘Bomber’ Kavanagh denies owning stun gun.. and claims press harassment

ALLEGED top tier Kinahan gangster Thomas “Bomber” Kavanagh is set to face trial for possession of a stun gun disguised as a torch.

The 51-year-old Dubliner appeared at Stafford Crown Court yesterday where he denied the charge.

He was arrested last month as he landed at Birmingham Airport after a holiday. During a subsequent search of Kavanagh’s “heavily fortified” €900,000 home in nearby Tamworth, police found a stun gun in the kitchen.

The dad of six covered his face as he arrived at court yesterday. During the hearing his barrister claimed he was being hounded by journalist­s.

When the judge asked why,

Alistair Webster replied: “There is a campaign being waged against him by Irish reporters.

“They suggest he is involved in Irish gangland activity.

“They have even been to photograph him when he is signing on for bail at the police station, which is hardly ideal.” Kavanagh, who was accompanie­d to court by one of his sons, Thomas Kavanagh VINTAGE jeans, gingham dresses and trippy tie-dye prints – it’s your first look at what’s coming to Penneys next season.
