GRIMES LOVES IT AS SWAN

Leeds v Swansea, 7.45pm EXCLUSIVE BY ADRIAN KAJUMBA MATT GRIMES has regained his love for football after losing it at Leeds.

The Swansea midfielder (above) feels he is starting to fulfil the potential that made him a much talked-about teenager and earned him a £1.75million move in 2015.

Grimes got his career back on track at League One Northampton last season after his Leeds loan spell “completely destroyed all confidence I had in myself”.

He said: “Football had made me so low I didn’t want anything to do with it if I didn’t have to.

“I never really got a run of games and it spiralled from there.”

But 44 loan appearances with the Cobblers helped him “fall back in love with football” and he returns to Leeds tonight a different player.
