A Real lift in Hazard sign fight

- BY DARREN LEWIS

REAL MADRID believe Maurizio Sarri’s struggles at Chelsea will make it even easier for them to poach Eden Hazard at the end of the season.

The Belgium superstar has just a year left on his contract and has repeatedly spoken of his dream to join the Champions League holders.

Hazard has only just been restored to his favoured position on the wing after being played as a false nine.

But reports in Spain have claimed boss Sarri is fighting to win over the senior players in his dressing room.

After three away defeats in a row the Blues stars are understood to have lost faith in his methods and to be complaining about being overloaded with information.

It is claimed that if Sarri remains at the club beyond this season, a number of the club’s heavyweights will quit.

It leaves him under pressure to secure victory in the Europa League at Malmo tomorrow and in the FA Cup on Monday at home to Manchester United.

Chelsea could be handed a cut-price deal to sign striker Gonzalo Higuain following confirmation of Aaron Ramsey’s move to Juventus.

The Italian champions are keen to get £270, 000-a-week Higuain off the wage bill after Ramsey’s lucrative deal was signed.

Higuain’s future at Chelsea hinges on Sarri staying though, as it was the Italian who pushed for his signing last month after it was vetoed by Blues bosses last summer.
