Sala to make final journey

EMILIANO Sala’s body will be repatriated to Argentina tomorrow ahead of a vigil at his hometown club.

The Cardiff striker’s remains will reach Buenos Aires at 9am local time.

The body will then travel to Progreso, Santa Fe, where a wake will be held at the San Martin club.

President Daniel Ribero said: “We’ll spend several hours saying farewell.”

Sala, 28, died when his plane piloted by David Ibbotson, who is missing, crashed in the Channel.
