Puel uses stars to deflect flak
CLAUDE PUEL has hit back at critics, insisting top clubs are chasing Leicester’s stars because they are progressing under him.
The manager is under pressure after a winless run of six games with five defeats in all competitions.
It has seen City slip to 12th, but Puel pointed to Ben Chilwell, James Maddison and Harry Maguire as a measure of his work, saying: “If we were playing poorly, other teams would not be interested in our players. This is a good feeling for me.”
