PEDRO: WE’RE STRUGLING

- BY DARREN LEWIS

PEDRO has admitted he and his Chelsea team-mates are still struggling to play the Maurizio Sarri way.

The Blues winger insisted he was happy to embrace the Italian’s attacking philosophy – but had no answer to Manchester City’s formidable firepower in their 6-0 defeat. Pedro (above) said: “All the team follow the idea of Maurizio – press really high, stay compact and create chances, with good possession, a lot of the ball. We can do this as a team. But sometimes it’s so difficult to play in this way.

“It depends upon the opponents. City played very well, so it was so difficult to press. To create between the lines and to defend.”

Pedro hit back at claims Chelsea have a fragile mentality. He said: “The mentality in the team is good.

“The most important thing is to recover our best feeling. Malmo is an opportunity for us, a new competition.”
