Dolly giving free books to Irish children
DOLLY Parton’s Imagination Library – which aims to help children develop a love of reading from an early age – is coming to Ireland.
The country singer’s initiative is teaming up with local partners to announce a free bookgifting programme.
It is being piloted in Tallaght, South Dublin, under the co-ordination of the Childhood Development Initiative.
Dolly, 73, said: “You can never get enough books into the hands of young children.
“There are children in Ireland with their own dreams and the seeds of these dreams can be found in books and the seeds planted in a community can grow across the world.”
