Cowell wants Ant & Dec for BGT: Champs
Ant, Simon and Dec SIMON Cowell is enlisting the help of Ant and Dec to fill the void left by The X Factor on Saturday nights.
He is shelving the fourmonth-long ITV series for a shorter version featuring celebrities as singers.
But Cowell has projects to fill the weekend slots including a Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions with hosts Ant Mcpartlin and Declan Donnelly.
A source said: “It’s a winning combination and will draw massive ratings.”
It is expected to air in autumn, with stars such as Diversity, Susan Boyle, Paul Potts and The Lost Voice Guy all tipped to feature.
A source said: “The idea is for The X Factor to come back with a huge bang in 2020. Last year’s new-look series didn’t rate as well as everyone hoped.”
