The former First Lady received a standing ovation as she walked out with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez and host Alicia Keys.
Among a star-studded audience, such applauses never lie. They provide a barometer to the affection the country holds for someone. Mrs Obama is no musician but is a major star in the US. She is also the country’s most popular human being which is why she is Donald Trump’s worst nightmare.
While Democrats toy with no-hopers to run for the 2020 election, they should draft in the former First Lady.
The world would welcome Mrs Obama taking centre stage and bring the White House curtain down on Trump.
