Let’s talk leather

OK, so I’m just going to throw this one out there. I think having a leather skirt in your wardrobe could be a really good thing. Yes, shut the front door.

Helen Mirren’s to blame. I think she’s got incredible style and she popped up on Good Morning Britain recently wearing one. Hers was a long full black style that she teamed with a simple pale blue jumper and pair of flat pumps. She’s 73 and looked stylish in that effortless way we all aspire to.

Soon after, Christine Lampard appeared on Loose Women wearing a rather gorgeous navy leather wrap midi skirt proving that it’s a bit of a daytime TV winner too. The presenter, 40, teamed hers with a feminine cream blouse and a pair of burgundy knee-high boots.

Another contender, of course, is the leather pencil skirt. Sassy, sexy and stylish all rolled into one, Courteney Cox, 54, is a big fan. For a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live over in the US she teamed hers with a black polo neck and pair or pointy slingbacks.

I rest my case.
