A measure of appetite for Stu now

- BY MICHAEL SCULLY

ANDREW PORTER starts for Leinster in Viadana today after coming off the bench in Ireland’s opening Six Nations games against England and Scotland.

And senior coach Stuart Lancaster believes this three-game Pro14 block against Zebre, the Kings and Cheetahs is a real opportunity for some Blues players to prove a point.

“It’s a great window for a lot of the younger players, and players who are sort of on the fringes of the Ireland team,” he said.

“You want a combination of players, some of whom are released from Ireland camp to play this weekend and then you have people like Ross Byrne and Jack Mcgrath hungry to prove a point.”

Dave Kearney moves to full-back as Leinster look to extend their massive Conference B lead.

“The attention on the outside might be on the Six Nations bur attention here at Leinster is on our next game,” said Lancaster.

“We have looked at some of the Six Nations games and the trends and some of the things emerging but now it’s time for us to back up our great win against Scarlets.” LEINSTER: D Kearney, A Byrne, R O’loughlin, C O’brien, B Daly, R Byrne, J Gibson Park; J Mcgrath, J Tracy, A Porter, R Molony, S Fardy, J Murphy, M Deegan, C Doris
