Angels ready to fly
NICKY HENDERSON is anxious to give Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite Angels Breath further practice over obstacles ahead of the Cheltenham Festival on 12 March.
The Dai Walters-owned five-year-old, required to jump just four flights because of high winds when scoring at Ascot on his hurdling debut, was due to run at Huntingdon last Thursday until the equine flu outbreak intervened.
“I’m stuffing him full of entries over the next week,” said the trainer.
But Henderson fears RSA favourite Santini is running out of time for the Festival, adding: “I think it is getting a bit too close to Cheltenham.”
