Supervisors in strike bid

COMMUNITY employment supervisors are downing tools today in a dispute about pensions.

The one-day strike will see a protest rally outside the Department of Finance from noon until 2pm

The workers involved are represented by Forsa and Siptu.

Spokesman Ian Thomas said: “We’re taking action because it is literally our last resort.

“Our appeals to the successive administrations have fallen on deaf ears.”
