FODEN’S SO SELFIE-CONFIDENT

- BY DAVE ARMITAGE

PEP GUARDIOLA invited Newport’s vanquished FA Cup heroes into the visitors’ dressing room after the game.

The Manchester City boss (below, with Raheem Sterling) told the League Two players to help themselves to selfies, shirts or other souvenirs of their big day.

Phil Foden reckons it is not out of the question they could prove to be memorabilia of football history makers. The 18-year-old midfielder, who scored twice to shatter Newport, says landing four trophies is not beyond City.

This win clinched a quarter-final spot in the FA Cup, on Wednesday they play Schalke in the last 16 of the Champions League and next Sunday meet Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final. They are still involved in a shoot-out for the title and rising star Foden is just happy to be a part of it all.

He said: “We’ve got all the competitions to play for and hopefully we can win them all. Could we? Definitely, why not? I think we can.”
