15C Ireland to be warm as French Rivera

UNSEASONABLY warm weather is on the cards as the mercury gets set to soar to 15C.

Ireland will be almost as warm as the French Riviera this week with balmy temperatures and largely dry days.

While last night dropped to a nippy 1C, today will see highs of 7C to 10C.

Temperatures are expected to hit 15C on Thursday.

But weather experts have warned of heavy rain especially across the southwest and west.

Warm weather will continue into Friday with mild, breezy conditions and scattered showers.
