Chemical alert at leisure centre

EMERGENCY services were called out to deal with a suspected chemical incident at a leisure centre yesterday morning.
The alarm was raised at around 6.30am at the River Lodge Health and Fitness centre on the
Gort Road in Ennis, Co Clare.
It’s understood the basement where chemicals for the maintenance of the pool are stored had flooded. No injuries were reported.
