Russia: Our unstoppable global missile
RUSSIA says it has successfully tested a nuclear-powered cruise missile that can fly for days and change direction.
The Kremlin has said its Burevestnik cannot be intercepted by Western air defences and can deliver nuclear warheads to any target in the world.
A Russian source said: “A major stage of trials of the missile, tests of the nuclear power unit, have been completed successfully.”
The claim comes after reported teething issues.
Western experts identified Burevestnik trials last month at Russia’s Kapustin Yar testing ground.
They claim until January most test flights were only partially successful.
