44% workers say they have been hacked

Attacks are common ALMOST half of public and private sector employees have been phished or hacked, a study revealed yesterday.

And 46% have admitted having had no security training during the last 12 months.

Around 45% recycled their personal passwords, potentiall­y using the same ones for both work and home.

Microsoft Ireland Solutions chief Des Ryan said: “Organisati­ons can invest in robust data protection and security measures but their employees could, accidently, bring about a potential security disaster for their organisati­on.

“The most common and least detected sources of data breaches are compromise­d identities.”
