City winners on auto pilot

AS A former Liverpool player and someone who would love to see my old club win the title, it is

Manchester City’s lack of emotion that concerns me.

Pep Guardiola (above) has got his men so well tuned into winning football matches that they go out, they beat teams, they walk off and then it’s on to the next one.

It’s metronomic and whether they come away with one trophy or four of them this season, what he has undoubtedly been able to do is imbue in his side that individual games mean nothing.
