Now the Jok is on Fulham

WHEN Ryan Babel arrived at Fulham his first two performances were very good and I wondered if he might give the Cottagers the bounce that Claudio Ranieri failed to.

But you could have brought in any number of forwards and it still wouldn’t have improved results too greatly because the defensive side of the team would keep letting them down. They got so spooked in the early games that it looked like, front to back, they all realised how porous they were.

With relegation looking almost certain, despite the arrival of Babel (above), I wonder if they’d have been better off sticking with Slavisa Jokanovic rather than appointing Ranieri.
