LIVERPOOL IN A RAID ON JADON

- BY david maddock

LIVERPOOL could go back for Jadon Sancho after missing out on him while he was at Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp revealed yesterday he wanted to sign Sancho (above) when he was at the Etihad but said his club had no chance then because “English clubs don’t sell to other English clubs.”

But now the 18-year-old is at Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund, he’s an obvious target.

“We are not blind. We saw him and we liked him,” said Kop boss Klopp. “But when we asked ourselves if we could get him, the answer was no because English clubs don’t sell to other English clubs.”

Already capped three times by Gareth Southgate, Sancho would cost a lot more than the £8million Dortmund paid for him as a 17-year-old. The Germans sold Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona for £100m, rising to £135m, and have made it clear that Sancho is valued in the same bracket.
