EX-PM’S titfer SIR Winston Churchill’s top hat is part of a collection of items found at a dump which have been valued at €12,000.

The hat, a cigar case and 200 letters were due to appear on Antiques Roadshow last night.

They were taken to the BBC show by David Rose who discovered them at the tip where he works.

The letters were written by the wartime Prime Minister’s cook to her son and detail the daily goingson of Mr Churchill.

Mr Rose, who took the collection to Eltham Palace in Greenwich for the show, said: “She used to write about how he was feeling and just interesting stuff about him.”

Expert Mark Smith valued the collection at €12,000 which Mr Rose described as “crazy”. A LOWLY footman will set pulses racing and win an army of female fans, including a duchess, when he strips off in royal drama Victoria.

Actor David Burnett emulates Poldark’s Aidan Turner when he gives viewers a cheeky eyeful in a steamy beach scene producers hope will make similar waves.

Last night audiences were intro- duced to servant Joseph, who later in the third series of the ITV show embarks on an illicit affair with Sophie, Duchess of Monmouth, played by Lily Travers.

At one stage they meet on the beach before he runs into the sea naked for a swim. Both characters are fictitious but the scandal echoes real-life affairs between the ruling and lower classes.

David has acted in Royal Shakespeare Company productions and had roles in TV dramas Manhunt and Endeavour and the Tom Cruise film The Mummy.
