We’re going Green predicts exit poll

-

THE Green Party will be the big winners in the European and local elections, it was predicted last night.

IT’S claimed that all political careers end in failure but in Theresa May’s case she has become the living embodiment of failure itself.

She has failed to deliver Brexit, she has failed the British public and she has even failed to learn from the fatal mistakes which eventually led to her being forced from office.

In a way Theresa May is Britain’s first zombie prime minister as she’s been politically dead for over a year but has refused to accept her time was up.

Like Maggie Thatcher, she was reduced to tears as she was forced to bring the curtains on what was three years of confusion and chaos.

She was certainly handed a poison chalice after David Cameron’s disastrous decision to hold a referendum but instead of watering down the toxic brew she rendered it more noxious with her red lines making it impossible to secure agreement on a Brexit deal with Brussels.

While she will never win any awards for her leadership skills she would scoop a Nobel Prize for stubbornness should one exist.

Had she not pandered to the hardline Brexiteers in her party and put into practice the compromise she spoke of in her resignation speech she might have actually delivered Brexit.

She was the UK’S second female prime minister and her tenure in office was almost as disastrous as Maggie Thatcher, especially when it came to the welfare of the most vulnerable members of British society.

While she cried as she announced her resignation she certainly shed no tears for the families forced to rely on food banks to stave off their hunger.

Her party’s cuts to Universal Credit and other benefits made life almost impossible for millions of people while it appeared the Tories were trying to make the NHS as dysfunctional as our own HSE.

For ordinary folk the sacking of over 20,000 police officers has made Britain more unsafe and led to an explosion in knife crime.

Theresa May’s only redeeming factor is that she acted as blocking mechanism in the way that a huge fatberg might clog a sewer preventing the likes of Boris Johnson, Dominic Raab and David Davis getting through.

The removal of that blockage is bad news for this country for the main contenders to replace her are all archbrexiteers who know little of Ireland and care less.
