In yesterday’s (March 1) edition of the Sunday Mirror, an article on prison visits referred to a Tusla directive to the Irish Prison Service (IPS) stating that babies’ nappies were not to be searched.

The IPS wishes to point out that they are not aware of such a directive from Tusla and that screening for contraband at prison visits will continue.
