Shear excitement at sextuplet lambs

FARMERS Marcella and Clifford Kinch had the wool pulled over their eyes when their ewe Mary Jnr gave birth to six lambs – when she was only meant to be expecting four.

The shock arrivals made their presence known at their farm in Sandyford in Tinahely, Co Wicklow.

Marcella said: “It was a surprise but not a record as Mary’s mother holds the record for the largest birth when she gave birth to seven lambs in 2008.”
