FUTURE Former Red Jose Enrique insists Robertson and Alexander-arnold have been the best left and right backs in the world for two years
the last two seasons, definitely. For me, he has everything.
“The energy he has he makes you tired just looking at him. How much he goes up and down the wing is unbelievable.
“I love the intensity in how he plays the game. And the end product he has is really good as well – his crosses are amazing.
“He defends well, so he’s the full package and I believe he’s been the best left-back in the world for the last two years.”
Enrique, who was appearing on LFC TV’S Legends in Lockdown with Jan Molby also praised Alexander-arnold.
Only Kevin De Bruyne can top of his haul of 12 Premier League assists this season and Enrique said: “What I say about Andy Robertson, I say the same about Trent that he’s the best right-back in the world for the last two years.
“So many people want to know, ‘Let’s see if he can play in midfield’ and I say, ‘Why do you want to

“He’s still only 21 and he can improve so much in the position, so imagine what he will be like when he improves.”
Alexander-arnold is in the vanguard of a new generation of home-grown talent at Liverpool and Enrique is excited the Reds have successfully blooded so many exciting youngsters this season.
The Spaniard, who won the 2012 League Cup with Liverpool during his five years at Anfield, claims having such great talent will be key to their continued progress.
“I believe Liverpool are one of the best clubs in the world right now and to do that, you need very good young players – the best on the planet,” he added.
“For me, it’s key as well that you have someone who trusts in them in the manager.
“In the end, he’s the one who has to put them on the pitch and he trusts them. That’s really good.
“Also there is Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott, Neco Williams, Liverpool have so many young players coming through. I believe it’s looking really, really good for Liverpool.
“A lot of credit must go to the people who work with the young players and also the club for trusting them and not saying, ‘OK, I need back-up for Trent, I will go into the market and spend a lot of money. No, I believe in Neco Williams’.
“That’s really good and I believe this is the best moment for Liverpool for a while in every single way. The things they are doing are amazing.”
