SELFIE INTEREST DESIGNED TO ATTRACT VIEWERS
PREMIER LEAGUE stars will record video selfies as part of TV’S new-look Project Restart.
They are being asked to film a pre-match message on their own phones to be broadcast during the live coverage.
It is part of the “broadcast enhancement” package put together by a Premier League working party to satisfy Sky, BT Sport, Amazon and the BBC.
Players are already questioned before matches, but these
“flash interviews” are normally shown only when live games are on or for foreign-rights holders.
Now domestic broadcasters want a version for their own live package and the
