Illegal scrap yards found

A LOCAL authority has uncovered 62 illegal “cash for cars” scrap yards with the help of drones.

Fingal County Council in Dublin also used satellite imagery to the detect the sites across the capital.

The illegal disposal of an old car could lead to a fine of up to €5,000.

The council launched an End of Life Vehicles campaign to raise awareness for motorists.

Hazardous material in cars also needs to be safely removed.

NETFLIX’S new erotic smash hit 365 Days is setting pulses racing among Irish viewers.

The jaw-dropping drama, dubbed raunchier than Fifty Shades of Grey, has been dividing viewers worldwide but is sitting at No1 here this week.

The film has attracted a large following for its explicit scenes and fans will be delighted to know there are more steamy storylines in the pipeline.

It is based on a book of the same name by Blanka Lipinska and there are two more novels in the series.

And while Netflix is yet to confirm the sequels, the stars hinted a second chapter in the story is on the cards.

Speaking on an Instagram live in their native Poland, Anna Maria Sieklucka, who plays Laura, said: “We will not be able to go abroad to shoot this year because of the pandemic.

“It will probably be next year. We do not know exactly when we will be able to start.”

Viewers of 365 Days, which landed on Netflix last week, know it ends on a major cliffhange­r, so excitement for the potential sequel has been bubbling since it hit the hugely-popular streaming service.

The movie is based on Sicilian mafia gangster Massimo, played by Michele Morrone, who kidnaps Laura during her holiday in Italy.

Already infatuated with her, he gives her 365 days to fall in love with him.
